Part 7 - Istanbul, Turkey - The Hippodrome
The Hippodrome is a long rectangular area where a gigantic stadium once stood in the center of Constantinople. In 532 it was the scene of a massacre of 30,000 people following a brawl between rival chariot-racing teams.
