Part 7 - State Parks
Later on October 2, after the Triathlon was off the streets, we visited a couple of state parks just southwest of the city of Pensacola. At Tarkiln Bayou Preserve State Park, we walked along a boardwalk . . .
. . . and found these saw palmettos . . .
. . . and many pitcher plants, waiting for insect prey.
In Big Lagoon State Park, we walked another wooden trail . . .
. . . and saw what we tentatively identified as a blue heron.
We saw many of these insects, but they didn't seem to be causing any problems.
