Part 3 - Downtown Pittsburgh

In downtown Pittsburgh, we parked at Station Square (on the south shore of the Monongahela River) and rode up the Monongahela Incline. It's located at the bottom of the map, near the Smithfield Street Bridge.
This is a view looking down during the trip.
Pittsburgh has two inclines. This is the one we didn't take, Duquesne Incline (at the left of the map).

This telephoto view, looking northwest from the incline, shows the Fort Pitt Bridge (I-376), Point State Park (where the rivers converge), and Heinz Stadium (Steelers football).
A little to the west of the previous photo, we see the south end of the Fort Pitt Bridge, the Carnegie Science Center, and its submarine, the USS Requin.
After taking the incline back down, we took a short subway ride to PPG Place.

PPG Place is the location of the various PPG buildings, including the tallest one, known as "1 PPG Place".

It was the scene of much of the action in the 1999 movie Inspector Gadget.
Nearby is Fifth Avenue Place (Highmark is the major tenant).
We took the subway back to Station Square, where we got this photo of the south entrance of the Smithfield Street Bridge.
We took an amphibious tour (Just Ducky Tours) in this DUKW vehicle (a six-wheel-drive amphibious truck designed by General Motors during World War II).
